Grand Prix Audio

Alvin Lloyd used to design carbon fiber racing car shells for Indy Car race teams; these “hulls” had to be strong enough to protect drivers, yet light enough to help the car to go fast as the driver’s skill allow.
Alvin, like many of our partners, was also a music lover, and knew the degradation caused by vibrations entering back into the component stream. Using some of the same principles as his racecar work, Alvin designed highly strong furniture that is quite lightweight. So all Grand Prix Audio equipment furniture is specially designed to let you hear how much more musical information is on your recordings.
Kevin thought it was a parlor trick the first time he heard a system sitting on Grand Prix: the improvement was easily noticeable and indispensable. What most amazed Kevin was how beautifully constructed and designed GPA furniture was (and is). Carbon fiber, Perspex (we call it Lucite in the U.S.), and aluminum combine into works of art that make your system look fantastic in the room, and that improve the sound at the same time.
